Task Training

Once a week, ~60 minute sessions

Prerequisites - Must be approved for training

A happy, white therapy dog with a blue vest labeled 'THERAPY DOG' and a paw print emblem, lying down.
Blue oval sign with black text, stating 'For Service and Therapy Dog Candidates Only,' accompanied by two yellow stars, one on each side.

Task training can include anything to help mitigate your disability, including but not limited to:  Retrieving dropped items, opening or closing doors, waking you from a nightmare, grounding, and more.

This training is specialized and tailored to your needs. You will learn how to train your pup to perform tasks needed to help you live your life to the fullest.

Additionally, if you are a therapist or mental health specialist looking to add a therapy dog to your practice or treatment programs, our therapy dog program will work with you to ensure your pup will be up to the task of aiding others!

Please be aware  This training is for disabled individuals in need of a task-trained service dog or for certified health professionals.  We do not conduct service or therapy dog training for emotional support animals!
